- Yealink, the global leading unified communication (UC) terminal solution provider, today announced the latest release of V31, a major software update to Yealink second-generation video conferencing system and endpoints. The upgraded V31 adds features including compatibility with touch TV, Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) and HDMI fool-proof, audio EQ self-adaption, dual-screen recording, and PTZ control over CP960, bringing advanced conferencing experiences and powerful functions to VC800 and VC500 this winter.
VC500-Wireless Micpod Available This November
VC500-Wireless Micpod utilizes Yealink's DECT technology, featuring two wireless microphones to optimize mobility within the meeting room by providing a stable voice transmission. Thanks to Yealink's DECT technology, your table can be kept tidy and clutter-free. VC500-Wireless Micpod is scheduled to ship in November.
The Most Powerful Multi-Camera Solution Ever of VC800
When it comes to a large conference room such as a hall or an auditorium, single camera is far from enough to capture and present adequate pictures of the scene. Now, the VC800 multi-camera solution, with an integration of VC800, PoE switch and VCC22 camera, enables up to 9 cameras to work at the same time, presenting various pictures from different angles of the conference room. You can control each camera separately and personalize the local camera layout of VC800 and VCC22, such as equal, or full screen of certain camera, bringing you flexibility to emphasize what you want.
Besides, the deployment of multiple cameras is simple by connecting VC800 and VCC22 cameras to PoE switch only with Ethernet cables, no need for extra power supplies for VCC22. You don’t need to purchase extra video matrix or central platform, and VC800 multi-camera solution manages to save your time and investment for better collaboration.
New Features in V31
Compatible with Touch TV
V31 puts intuitive and smooth controls at your fingertips by allowing VC800 and VC500 to be compatible with touch TV. Saying goodbye to the remote control, you can simply interact with the VCS codec by clicking, dragging or multi-finger touching on TV screen.
Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) and HDMI Fool-proof
V31 introduces Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) to VC800 and VC500, allowing you to wake up the codec and television or put them to sleep simultaneously using only one VCS remote control or CP960, thus you don’t have to seek for and operate the TV remote controller any more
HDMI fool-proof feature makes deployment much easier by enabling users to connect either HDMI port of the codec to TV, without having to distinguish HDMI1 from HDMI2 in the codec, and thus greatly reduce learning cost and after-sales consulting.
Audio EQ self-adaption
Different external audio devices, such as televisions or speakers, provides different audio effect. As televisions are getting thinner nowadays, the built-in speaker and the sound module are getting smaller to fit in the slim size, thus adversely affecting the audio effect. In this case, the audio output of VCS may not be the best quality. With the EQ self-adaption feature, whenever the VC800/VC500 use a different external audio device, it will adjust the EQ parameter automatically to achieve the best audio quality within 10 seconds, and in this way adapt to different audio device brands.
Recording function is more advanced than ever. Hundreds of conferencing rooms use dual screens, one for video conference and one for content sharing. The previous USB recording feature could only record one screen, resulting in the inconvenience of reviewing the video conference together with content sharing. Now dual-screen recording feature tackles this issue by recording and jointing the pictures of both screens.
PTZ Control over CP960
CP960 offers a convenient touchscreen user experience, but in previous version, users cannot control the camera via CP960. The V31 version enables PTZ control from CP960, including pan, tilt and zoom from touchscreen UI, and users have an alternative for camera control besides VCR11 remote control.
